What should be paid attention to in the process of OCA optical plastic die-cutting

OCA is a specialty adhesive for bonding transparent optical components such as lenses. It is required to be colorless and transparent, with a light transmittance of more than 90%, good bonding strength, and can be cured at room temperature or medium temperature, and has the characteristics of small curing shrinkage. In short, OCA is a layer of special double-sided tape with optical transparency.

01. Operating procedures before starting the OCA optical plastic die-cutting process


Check the handover record to understand the operation of the equipment;

According to the production scheduling plan, check the required die-cutting quantity and product quality against the requirements of the production construction order;

After checking and confirming that there is no foreign matter on the machine, conduct a thorough inspection and adjustment of the machine.



02. Operational specifications for OCA optical plastic die-cutting before starting production


Check that the die cut is the same size as the box sample.

Check that the product has a mouthpiece.

Choose the base stencil material according to the product quantity, paper type and carton structure.

Install the die-cutting plate and lock the fastening screws to prevent the die-cutting plate from loosening. Make the bottom template, the thickness of the bottom mold is the paper thickness of the die-cut product.

Install the bottom stencil, clean the surface debris and lock it.

According to the thickness of the paper, adjust the die-cutting pressure. When adjusting, the pressure should be gradually increased to 80% penetration from light to heavy, otherwise it will cause equipment damage.

Adjust the position of the upper and lower ejector pins of the take-off part and lock them tightly.

After adjusting the parts, the production samples are required to be produced according to the box samples, and there is no quality problem.


03. Operational specifications in the production of OCA optical plastic die-cutting


Work according to the production requirements and sample signing standards of the construction order.

During the production process, a sampling inspection is carried out every 5-10 minutes, and any quality problems are reported in time, and production can be continued after they are resolved.

After each version of die-cutting, a comprehensive inspection must be carried out and a "die-cutting process sheet" should be filled out. If there is a quality problem, the products should be placed separately in time, and the "Extraordinary Product Flow Sheet" should be filled out.

If material problems are found, production should be stopped, and the "Feedback Form for Poor Quality of Production Materials" should be filled out, so that the relevant departments can coordinate and solve the problem and prepare for subsequent production.



04. Operation specification after OCA optical plastic die-cutting process


The captain should fill in the "Die-cutting Daily Report", "Process Quality Status Statistics" and "Production Equipment Daily Inspection Form" every day.

Die-cut products are placed separately according to qualified products and defective products, and are clearly marked.

At the end of production, the equipment should stop at the mold opening position.

Maintain the equipment according to the daily maintenance content.

Fill in the shift record carefully.

Turn off the power.


05. Main material


The main material refers to the OCA optical adhesive material. Whether the material from the supplier is the master roll material or the specification material, sufficient protection measures must be taken to avoid the OCA optical adhesive material from being squeezed. Some qualified die-cutting factories can slit their own materials according to the required specifications. It is a bit wasteful to prepare cardboards for each roll of specifications. The material rack can be made by yourself, passing through the material core and hanging the material in a hollow.

Incoming material inspection: focus on controlling indentation (the material is not allowed to have joints), creases, white spots, foreign objects, dents, air bubbles, and wrinkles, these problems will often lead to defects.

06. Storage conditions


Temperature: 0 degrees - 25 degrees, the effect is good
Humidity: 45%-60C, Environment: It is best to store it directly in a clean room, and wrap each roll with film

Placement: lay flat, do not press with heavy objects to avoid bad indentation caused by heavy pressure on OCA


07. Auxiliary materials


This is mainly for the requirements of products that need to be replaced. No matter it is slitting or slitting, there should be no filaments, dander, etc. on the material section. Before use, clean the material section to remove excessive filaments, dander, etc., to avoid foreign matter and dirt caused by electrostatic adsorption. There are also certain requirements for the light release film used in OCA film replacement, high cleanliness, high flatness, and no scratches and other scars on the release surface.


08. OCA optical plastic die-cutting process subdivision


In fact, whether it is a flat knife die-cutting equipment or a circular knife die-cutting equipment, as long as the equipment is stable and the auxiliary functions meet the needs of OCA processing (mainly waste removal), OCA optical adhesives can be processed.

Bare cutting has strict requirements on the environment and materials


Control temperature and humidity to minimize the generation of static electricity. It is very easy to generate static electricity under dry environmental conditions. Material control, other ordinary paper materials other than clean paper can not directly enter the friction of clean room materials, and it is also easy to generate static electricity. If the material itself If there is dirt, foreign matter, or the hair and debris generated during cutting and slitting, if the product is not removed before use, it will cause foreign matter in the product due to electrostatic adsorption during use. Personnel control, everything is caused by human factors, non-compliance with management regulations, resulting in the deterioration of the dust-free environment.


Bare cutting has a good effect on the regular indentation around the product and the shrinkage caused by the extrusion of the glue.




09. Experience standard


When confirming the position of the indentation, the protective film and the light release film should be torn off at this time, and only the heavy release film of the product should be kept, and then the measurement should be started from the edge of the product.

The method of attaching glass: peel off the light release paper of the product, and then use a 3F laminating machine to attach it to the glass (the glass used is 100MM*150MM*0.75MM), and use a defoaming machine to defoam after lamination ( Degassing conditions: Temperature: 45°C Time: 5 minutes Atmospheric pressure: 5±0.5kgf/cm2).
Inspection method: Reflect the defoamed product in the normal inspection area to check whether there is still indentation on the laminated product.

The inspection environment and inspection method of the above appearance inspection:
A. Illumination environment: 1500LUX±500LUX, three wavelengths.
B. Inspection method: about 30CM away from the product, inspect both sides of the product from the direction of 45°. The visual acuity of the inspector is required to be above 1.0.

C. Use a 20x magnifying glass to measure the defective spot near the specification and then judge it.
